How it Works

Your blood contains amazing properties that heal and repair your tissue.  Isn’t your body amazing!  

During the microneedling with prp procedure your practitioner will draw a vial of your own blood, and spin it down in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma, growth factors and other nutrients from the blood.  The vial of platelet rich fibrin matrix looks like a yellowish serum on one side of the vial, and blood on the other.   The serum is what creates the magic for your skin.   

In the next step your practitioner will create micro-trauma to the skin using a technique called microneedling.   The micro-trauma (caused by the microneedling) begins a process in your body called the healing cascade, which alerts your body to start the healing process by repairing the area that has experienced the injury.  Your body does this as a natural response to any injury, which is how your body begins to heal after you cut yourself.   With the addition of the platelet rich plasma serum (PRP), your body’s healing response goes into overdrive by stimulating extra collagen and elastic thus creating new vascularization, adipose tissue, and epithelial cells thus generating amazing looking younger skin.    

What Can I Expect?

Patients will be able to start their activities immediately after the procedure.   Skin may be sensitive so avoid direct sun.
