How the Sculptra Butt Lift Works

A non-surgical Butt Lift using a dermal filler such as Sculptra is a safe FDA approved injection that acts as a powerful collagen stimulator. Sculptra stimulates your own collagen allowing the area injected to volumize over time. Studies show that an increase in collagen can smooth and plump the depleted areas of the buttock. A butt lift using Sculptra® will give the patient a more plump and round looking butt, plus it will boost an otherwise saggy booty.

Sculptra® comes in a powder that is hydrated by your injector a day or two before the procedure. The day of your procedure the injector will inject the Sculptra mixture that includes lidocaine (helps numb the area) and sterile water. The patient will instantly notice a fuller buttock after the treatment, however, that fullness will subside as the body will naturally absorb the extra fluid within 48 hours. Don’t worry! The Sculptra particles are left in the treatment area and the magic of the procedure will take place gradually over the next few months as the Sculptra causes the body to produce collagen.

If you and your provider choose to use fat injections. Center for Aesthetic Medicine uses Renuva for autologous fat transfer. Renuva is a adipose allograft that is processed to preserve the extracellular matrix containing collagens, proteins, and growth factors found in adipose tissue. The resulting matrix serves as a framework to support the cellular repopulation and vascularization at the site of injection. Renuva is to be used where fat naturally exists and it great for smoothing cellulite dimples, and adding volume.
